How to Send a Tip
Hoosier Watchdogs runs on tips from people who see something wrong and want it exposed. Your identity stays with me. I don't reveal sources — ever.
The best way: Signal
Message hoosierwatchdogs.25 on Signal (free app, iPhone and Android).
Before you message me, take 30 seconds to protect yourself:
- In Signal, go to Settings → Profile and change your display name to something that isn't your real name.
- Don't use a photo of your face as your profile picture.
- Message hoosierwatchdogs.25. When you contact me through my username, I can't see your phone number.
Signal messages are end-to-end encrypted. What I can see is whatever profile name and photo you set — that's why the steps above matter.
Prefer email?
ProtonMail is encrypted email. You can create a free Proton account under any name — it doesn't have to be yours.
What makes a good tip
- What happened, where, and when
- Names, agencies, or companies involved
- Documents if you have them (contracts, emails, meeting minutes, photos of public records)
- You don't have to give me your name. Ever.
What happens next
I read everything. If your tip checks out and I need more, I'll reply through the same channel you used. If I publish, your identity stays out of it.
