Independent reporting from Indiana
About the project
Hoosier Watchdogs is an independent investigative project focused on power in Indiana—from state government and local politics to universities, police, prosecutors, and the donor networks that shape them.
Share a tipOur mission
We publish investigations into state corruption, donor capture, university complicity, surveillance, and the national money behind it. Hoosier Watchdogs publishes through Muncie Voice, an independent outlet with a global audience.
How we work
Built on public records, FOIA responses, court filings, contracts, and data.
No corporate or foundation funding, no access deals, and no loyalty to institutions.
We use Indiana as a lens on oligarchy, surveillance, election infrastructure, foreign-policy capture, and the corruption of the “rules-based order.”
Contribute & pitch
We welcome journalists who want to work with primary sources, keep their bylines, and build a portfolio of adversarial reporting.
